FlickFly user guide

1. What you need

• The FlickFly app on your iPhone or Android phone
• This website open on your computer: flickfly.app
• A few minutes the first time (pairing is once per browser)

FlickFly stores your secrets on your phone. This browser page only receives what you choose to flick — it is not your full password vault.

2. Pair your phone with this browser

Pairing creates a trusted link between your phone and this browser tab. Do this once; next visits can reconnect automatically.

1. On this computer, open flickfly.app.
2. Tap or click Connect a device. A QR code and a short pairing code will appear.
3. On your phone, open the FlickFly app. Choose to scan a QR code (or enter the pairing code if you are not next to the computer).
4. When the app says the device is paired, give it a clear name (for example “Home laptop”).
5. Back on the computer, you should see Connected to device and a Ready to receive area.

3. Flick a secret to this browser

1. Keep flickfly.app open and connected on your computer (look for “Ready to receive”).
2. On your phone, open the secret you need.
3. Use Flick and choose this browser (or the name you gave it).
4. The title, username (if any), and password appear here in the browser. Copy what you need, then close or leave the page when you are done.

You can also flick between two phones the same way — pair them once, then flick from one to the other.

4. Encryption & safety — what protects you

FlickFly is built so your passwords stay private. Here is what that means in plain language.

• Your vault stays on your devices. Secrets live in the phone’s secure storage. FlickFly does not keep a cloud copy of your password list.
• Transfers are end-to-end encrypted. When you flick, the secret is encrypted on your phone for the paired device. Our relay only helps the devices find each other and pass the locked message — it is not designed to read your password.
• No FlickFly login account for the vault. You unlock the app on the phone with your PIN or biometrics. We do not ask you to create an email account to store secrets.
• You choose what leaves the phone. Nothing is sent until you flick. Pair only with browsers and phones you trust.
• Use a private screen. After a flick, the secret is visible on that screen — treat it like writing a password on paper: finish your login, then close the tab if others can see the display.

5. Tips & troubleshooting

The browser says it is not connected

Click Reconnect or Connect a device again. Keep the FlickFly app open once while pairing. Check that your phone and computer both have internet.

I flicked but nothing appeared

Confirm this browser shows Ready to receive. Flick again to the correct device name. If the phone was force-closed, open FlickFly once, then try again.

I see “no paired devices” on the phone

Pair first using Connect a device on this website, then flick. The free plan allows a limited number of paired devices and secrets; Unlock in the app raises those limits.

I used someone else’s computer

Click Forget this device before you leave, and remove that pairing in the app so it cannot receive future flicks.

Is this the same as saving passwords in the browser?

No. FlickFly keeps the vault on your phone. The browser only shows a secret when you flick it — useful for logging into a site without typing the password by hand.
